Actor and his family have been in Costa Rica since June 28
Actor Matt Damon has more than a month in Costa Rica, in what is rumoured to be an extended vacation that will run into August, sources close to the Extra say.
The Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería (Costa Rica’s immigration service) confirms that Matt, his wife Lucia and their daughters Alexia, Isabella, Gia and Stella, entered the country on June 28, at 3:34pm and have yet to leave.
Matt and family are staying Santa Teresa de Cóbano, Puntarenas, in a luxurious beach house, enjoying canopy, surfing, horseback riding and yoga, according to sources.
The Damon rental – three houses in total at the Mariposa Vacation Homes* , close to Mel Gibson’s spread. According to local residents, the two (Matt and Mel) have been seen together.
Matt and his non-celebrity wife, Luciana Barroso, met in Miami, where she was working as a bartender and he was filming 2003’s Stuck on You. The couple married in 2005. “I got lucky. I fell in love with a civilian. Not an actress and not a famous actress at that,” he told Esquire recently.
