An article in the Spanish newspaper Hoy says:
How much of you a fan ar you of selfies? Well, a study made by a Dutch researcher, Christyntjes Van Gallagher, from Wageninge University, discovered that excessive selfies are a cry for help from people who feel sexually abandoned (…)
But, don’t worry too much if you are too much into selfies.
One, Hoy is not a great source for scientific knowledge. And two, don’t spend too much time trying to fine the article or the researcher or anyone with “Christyntjes” on Google (there is no other search engine), but the university did come up.
I checked with several websites that usually publish articles and reports on this kind of subject, The Verge, Buzzfeed, and the Slate, among others, and nothing. Zilch.
Did Hoy make it all up? Is it their cry for help?
