Andressa Soares worked for a radio station before she was known as the Watermelon Woman. Listeners wanted to know what she looked like, so the station posted photos of her at the beach on their message boards. They quickly blew up when people said that her butt looked like a watermelon.

She was performing with a DJ for a concert DVD where she started dancing on stage for a crowd that quickly went wild. Soon after that, the song grew in popularity and Soares was offered a Playboy cover.

Soares has capitalized on her fame as the Watermelon Woman. She follows an intense workout routine to keep her butt in shape for performances and appearances all around Brazil.
